Well here it is the bedroom decorated for £7.50 - how did I do it?this was in 1990 when I was a single parent , I think that's when I started being thrifty....
1) bought a small tin of emulsion for the top half of the walls
2) bought 2 rolls of striped wallpaper from the bargain box at the local decorating shop
3) one of the rolls was used for the bottom half of the walls
4) the other stripe roll I used , I cut into strips and this became the border
5) how did I make one tin of paint and 2 rolls of wallpaper decorate one room? easy , I didn't paint or paper behind the furniture! yes I know its funny but I think it looks great
notice the embroidery on the wall( not sure when I did that) and the patchwork cover I made on the bedside table, this was a leftover cushion cover so two uses for one item!

ooh very good! Love the whole not decorating behind furniture. Did you have to keep it all in the same place until you decorated again?
