I finished this the other day, this month's pegbag....I think the print fabric is Cath Kidston but not sure, it's amazing what you can create from a fat quarter of fabric. The blanket stitch around the edges of the print fabric took ages by hand but I think it looks very nice, it seems to finish it off.
The garden is full of spring flowers - this is the view from the kitchen window...
and a close up of the Magnolia, which seems to have different flowers (hubby looked it up in a book and we have the shrub version) the tree version has different flowers, which seems to be the one most people have.you can just see our pot rabbit peeping out of the long grass! Also some photo's of daffodils and wallflowers we left in the garden which hubby grew from seed and this is the second year they have flowered.

I love the effect of hand-stitched blanket stitch, and find it quite relaxing to just sit and do quietly. The peg bag is lovely.
I haven't done a thing to our rectangle of lawn since we got here - so no spring flowers for me :-( I must do something about the garden! That magnolia is lovely - the flowers are more daisy-like than the 'usual' magnolias one sees.
Congratulations on your award. Have a great weekend.

Kitty - thanks, I really enjoy stitching this way, makes a change from quick effect on the sewing machine.
Lovely peg bag Josie, I enjoy hand stitching too, very relaxing when watching TV! Well done on the award, I'd love a magnolia tree like yours, they are soooo pretty.

My parcel arrived this morning. I am thrilled! What a great giveaway. I especially love the Morsebag. I was not expecting it. It is just perfect for my knitting!
The sewing machine cover is fab and I am browsing the lovely mag with a nice cuppa. Thanks for making my day Josie. I will be blogging about them of course. I already have the photos taken! Best wishes Pam
