Sunday Sewing

As today is monthly Morsbagging sunday (http://www.morsbags.com/) I thought I would make the effort this month and I've made four bags, that's a total I've made of 108 bags altogether and I've still got enough fabric left to make 96 more bags!!

But I've got a long way to go to catch up the top pods, just look at how many bags have been made!

and 86,733 bags made in total so far in the four years since Morsbags started! For every Morsbag which is made, it means that 80 less plastic bags are used.

Other sewing I've done this week, I had some fabric leftover from shortening the curtains in the downstairs toilet so I trimmed some towels, I think they look great!

Those trimmed towels are gorgeous - what a great idea. I think you should get a Morsbag prize - you have made so many! :) x

Kitty - thanks, I hate to throw even small pieces of fabric away. Last year I came third in Morsbags easter competition, I've got a long way to go yet though, the top three pods that have made most bags is 9148 - 4684 and 4323!

RLS - thanks, fancy towels for free!

Twiggy - thanks !

I was watching Ration Book Britain today on the telly. They were talking about what ladies had to do to get the best out of what was available out of clothes. Wonderful stuff.

Oh, forgot to ask.

What's happening about that book of yours?

Have you thought about releasing it as a pay for E-book? It needn't cost you anything other than time.

Ally - thanks, it's a great way of using up fabric which a lot of people would throw away, bed sheets, curtains, tea towels, etc

Wheelie - yes I know, I watched it and I've got the 'make do and mend book as well, it's all the Mrs sew and sew leaflets in one book, bought it years ago. I think the way women recycled fabric/clothes was brilliant!

Wheelie - book, nothings happening, its been for sale since 2009 ! E-book, where/how do I do that?
