Sewing - Autumn Bag # 2

A quiet sunday staying in as hubby was working till tea-time, so I finished off making autumn shopper bag #2 - "Falling Leaves", applique leaves made from velvet fabric in autumn colours of red, green, gold and brown which took me about an hour to sew on...
It's taken me two days to make because I decided to braid the handles and because I've used a crazy patchwork fabric ( "Crazy Quilt Design - An Apple a day collection by Benartex) for the lining, the bag is reversible as well.

I've just added it the website but I hope it won't sell as it is a lovely bag and I want to keep it for myself! More information on the website http://www.sykesssillysite.co.uk/shop_bags_p80.htm

Julie - thank you, I hope so, it's a lovely bag. I have enough fabric to make one more bag but with a different lining.

Love the autumnal theme, but I think browns and oranges are an underused colour.

RLS - thanks, I agree, I think people see them as 'dull' colours. I've used browns and orange fabrics when I've made a braided rug (January 2010) and again for my autumn rag quilt in September 2009 and for my Mum's rag quilt (December 2009).
