I've been busy making another shopping bag this week and finished it earlier today, I'm quite pleased with it as it's the first time I've stitched this design. I've used up some floral and gingham fabrics left from making the purple rag quilt and stitched some patches together to make the handle. Here are some pics....

I've just added it to my website. http://www.sykesssillysite.co.uk/shop_bags.htm
and it's the last thing I will be making to sell on the website before christmas, as I've still got three more rows to finish on the purple rag quilt and some more patches to sew on the denim quilt I started a year ago! Have a good weekend
Edit: The history of the Dresden plate, the design was first used as early as 1795.

Lyn, thanks, I think I might make some more Dresden designs, I've got some green fabric, some yellows, some cream florals and still some more lilac fabrics to use up yet.
