One Project A Month - December

Well I can't believe it's December already, the last One Project A Month of the year. I've got some fabrics left from some christmas stockings on facebook, I made some ready to sell christmas stockings ( £6.50 for a lined stocking but sadly all four remain unsold ) 

and I bought some christmas fabrics for orders, but sadly no orders either, so instead of the fabric being stuck in a drawer until next December, I decided that this year I would actually try to make a table runner which has been on my One Project A Month to do list for the last two Christmas's

the fabric for the main centre block is Michael Miller, Joy Noel...

and the fabric for the border is Eagle Wyndham

I hand-quilted the centre panel which I think looks better than if I would have machine quilted.

and the backing fabric is a traditional poinsettia ...

not a very good photo but you get the idea of the length, our kitchen table is 6ft 

I've made a start stitching the binding on, this is the fabric I've used,it's called Holiday Wishes Snowflake 

so I will finish hand-stitching that tomorrow and update the blog then.
