I've been busy making another shoulder bag from the Rosalie Quinlan bag pattern - Beauty of a Flower.....It's taken me about three weeks on and off, I've recycled an old pair of jeans and denim jacket..... the lovely pale blue floral lining is some old bathroom curtains which was originally a duvet cover, so the fabric has been recycled twice! This bag seems a bit more sturdy then the first one I made for myself, perhaps I should read the instructions, there is supposed to be wadding in the middle, oops! Anyway I think it looks okay without and this one is my favourite of all five bags I've made so far and I can't wait to use it! While I'm taking busy these photo's, Kitt has sneaked into our bedroom and is playing hide and seek in my bedside cabinet!

Twiggy - thanks, you should recognise the denim fabric as you've got the other half, I used it to make your denim and buttons pegbag!
Love the bag so clever to recycle not once but twice great idea.
Hugs Pat
Love those bags!!! As denim is quite a tough, and substantial fabric, you probably wouldnt need an interlining as such. The lining is perfect too! It's nice when you can use what's in your stash & recycle, rather than having to buy new.
Happy stitching : )

What a lovely bag. You did a great job - as usual. Your sewing is so neat and well finished! I know 'cos I have one of your Morsbags and a sewing machine cover you made. Lovely!...Pam
Pat - thanks, I hate throwing fabric away
Sharon - the blue lining is only thin fabric but it's perfect for this bag. I'm always looking through my stash wondering what I can make next!
Pam - thank you, I really enjoyed making your Morsbag, the fabric scraps for the hearts I used to make quite a few things with.
They like to find little hidey holes don't they? Like the bag, it's lovely.
Love
Lyn
